Staff Rules
First of all, congratulations on becoming a staff member of Neo-Reality! I just want to thank you for your time and all the future content you will be submitting to us. However, there are a few things you need to keep in mind.
Submitting Content
- Images must be already hosted by a reliable image host. Exceptions may be given to special cases.
- Graphics and/or tutorials must be original work. It can not be stolen or copied from another site - even if you give that site credit, we refuse to publish copied/stolen content.
- Tutorials or other written content must be grammatically correct, using full sentences and punctuation. Unreadable material will not be published.
Posting News
- The news system is strictly for updating Neo-Reality's or Neopets latest news. This is not a blog so a long post about your personal life is not acceptable.
- Profanity or inappropriate language is prohibited.
- Please post only in the Short Story section.
- Choose only the categories your post falls under. Do not post under everything unless you have made changes to the main, geaphics, neopets and tutorials section of the site (which is only possible for Jen and Kathrin).
- Do not edit anyone else's post. You have been given editing powers only to change your own post.
- You may use HTML with your post but no textarea, tables or javascript codes.
- Outside links need to be targetted out of the frame. Do so by adding a target="_blank" to your link tag.
- Images need to be re-sized to 300px in width. Thumbnails are prefered.
- All images you intend to post should already be hosted with a reliable image host. There may be exceptions made for special cases where you can upload into the cutenews system but you must consult Jen before doing so.
- All posts should be more than 3 lines long. This does not include a line of emoticons or punctuation, only coherent sentences are counted.
If, for any reason, you break any serious rules, you will be contacted by Jen and your position at Neo-Reality will be reconsidered. In extreme cases, you will find yourself blocked. If you are unsure about something, please contact Jen before doing anything. Better safe than sorry.
