Editing Petpages

Now, if you have read my previous guide, Editing your Petlookup, you should already know what a petpage is...right? o_O

If You Don't Already Know...
A petpage, if you are still confused, is a page where you can put almost anything! It can be information about you, a little webpage on your pet, a game guide, and if you really need to, a guild website, avatar page, etc! Like the petlookup, you can use your imagination and creativity with HTML.

A Bit of Info
Each pet has its own default petpage and when you make a mistake while making your own, you can always turn your pet's petpage back to the default. Now, before you start editing, let's find out where the petpage is! Click on Pet Central on the sidebar, and find the icon of a Lupe and above it, it should say "pet's page". When you click there, pictures of your pets are displayed, along with green buttons underneath. They should be, edit, view, and stats, Edit and View are self-explanatory, but what about stats? You know what hits are right? On a website, such as this one, we are submitted to topsites and can have "hits." They show how popular Neo-Reality is. It's the same thing on petpage, except they are called "Page Views." Click there, and it'll show the date, and how many views. The more interesting your petpage is, the more popular it is likely to become!

When you look at the default petpage, it'll start off by saying, Greetings (insert unsername here)! You'll probably be asking, how did they know my username? Does it do that with everyone? The answer is yes! Neopets has their own little codes, ONLY working on neopets. Some of them are:
#PHOTO - this one will display a picture of your pet.
#NAME - type in this code and it'll display your neopet's name. Simple as that!
#OWNER - Displays name of the neopet's owner. I hope that wasn't to hard to follow xD
#OWNERLOOKUP - Like the one above except it gives a link to the owner's userlookup.
#LEVEL - This code displays your neopet's level.
#VISITOR - Now THIS is the code that displays the petpage visitor's name. Even if it is your pet's, it will still display as your username.

First off, if you can't make your own petpage, you can get own custom made, kept default, or even start right here at Neo-Reality! We have plenty of selection so there's bound to be a petpage for you! As always, copy the code of the layout, click on "edit" and paste the code in. Press, "Make Changes." Above the textarea, there should be a link to view the petpage. You won't like it on the first try if it's a Neo-Reality layout. You'll have to change the content of the blogs. You can chang the content to pet info, stories, whatever you want! Just make sure your page isn't too packed otherwise no one will want to read it.
